Attentum Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-03-31
This Privacy Policy explains how Attentum collects, uses, and shares data when you use the app and related services.
Overview
- No account is required.
- We collect limited usage telemetry and optional feedback to improve the app.
- Session topic selections are used to deliver pre-created guidance and audio from our catalog.
- We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
- We do not collect precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
- Usage telemetry uses a random app identifier and is not tied to your identity.
- All guidance content is pre-created. We do not use your data to generate personalized scripts or audio.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Feedback messages, optional email, and flag notes.
- Optional diagnostics and logs if you choose to include them in a feedback report.
Usage and device data
The app sends usage telemetry to the server, including:
- Session IDs, a random client ID, and a request identifier.
- Topic metadata (category, area, topic ID, and topic title).
- Session events such as start, completion, duration, completion percent, rating, and flags.
- Engagement events such as paywall views, share-card views, and share actions.
- App version/build, OS version, and platform.
- Apple's vendor identifier (a device ID that resets if you reinstall the app) is included with purchase and engagement events.
All session topics are selected from our catalog.
The client ID is a random UUID stored on your device and used to count unique users. We do not use it to identify you.
Feedback reports include the random client ID. If you provide an email address, that report will include both your email and the client ID.
Operational data
- Server logs record standard request metadata (path, status, timing).
- All scripts and audio are pre-created and stored as part of the app's content library.
Crash reporting
- Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics) is enabled in App Store releases and can include crash logs and custom metadata.
HealthKit
If you opt in, Attentum writes mindfulness session records to Apple Health. We do not read HealthKit data.
In-app purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive a confirmation that a purchase was completed but do not handle or store payment details.
How We Use Information
We use data to:
- Select and deliver pre-created guidance sessions based on your topic choices.
- Operate, monitor, and secure the service.
- Measure performance and improve content quality.
- Respond to support requests and feedback.
Sharing and Third-Party Services
We share data only with providers that help run the app, such as:
- Cloud hosting and storage (for telemetry, feedback, and content delivery).
- Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics).
- Apple services (HealthKit for mindful sessions, App Store for purchases).
These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies.
Retention
- Listening history (telemetry) and feedback are kept until you request deletion.
- All scripts and audio are pre-created product content that we maintain as part of the app.
- On device, telemetry queues are capped, diagnostics logs are trimmed, and cached audio is temporary.
Your Choices
- You can use the app without submitting feedback.
- You can choose whether to include diagnostics or logs when sending feedback.
- You can disable HealthKit access in iOS Settings.
- To request deletion of telemetry or feedback, contact us and include your Client ID from Settings > Diagnostics. We can delete records linked to that ID.
Security
We use HTTPS and standard platform security features. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect the data we handle.
Content Creation
The guidance sessions in our catalog are created with the help of AI and text-to-speech technology. These tools help us develop engaging content, but they never receive, process, or have access to user data, usage patterns, or any information about individual users. Your listening history and app usage stay private between you and Attentum.
International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate.
Changes
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date.
